Problem with linksys router.

Question

My mom has a linksys router and it was working fine until earlier today. For some reason now, the router will give off a signal but it will not let her computer connect to the internet. Her computer is the one that the router is hooked up to. We checked all of the plugs and they're in their places, but it still doesnt work. The router does not show up in the network connections window. Im able to get a connection from it on my laptop and desktop. My mom's computer has xp. Can anyone help me to try to figure out why the router ont let her connect?

disconnect the power cord to your internet [dsl] box and your router leave it be for a few seconds then plug the dsl box back in then the router in after the ready light goes steady on the dsl box to refresh the status after that your internet should be up in a few Min's if that doesn't work call you internet provider and ask them if your router can provide there latest internet speed / hrtz.
