I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant... every so often the left turn signal will come on an stay on...not blinking, its just a solid light on... it even stays on after I turn off the car...and the only way I can get it to go off is to take out the turn signal fuse, wait a little while...then put it back in...or it will kill the battery (quickly)... its becoming an increasingly annoying problem... and I was hoping somebody may have an idea as to whats causing the problem and the easiest way to fix it...

  1. sounds like a short circuit.  next time it sticks on try wiggling all the wiring harnesses and see if it goes off.  if it does it will narrow down where the problem is likely to be.  if you've had any electrical stuff added like hands free, stereo etc, check that no wires are being pinched in the area where the items were added.

  2. the best thing is to go to a body shop, **do not go to your mitsubishi dealer** typical dealer will say its something big, when you could go down the road to a simple drive in shop and have it fixed for way less, i will say, it doesnt sound severe, i would be shocked if it costs u over $100.

    good luck
