Problem with my HPI savage nitro truck?

I have an HPI savage and I am pretty new to this hobby so I am having some problems with it. I can start the engine with no problems but as soon as it starts it wants to take off...it doesnt idle right....when I give it gas the engine cuts out....I dont want to make too many adjustments because I dont want to get too far away from where the adjustments are supposed to be...can someone help me out? thank you

That sound like the idle adjustment s***w is turn to much to the rich side. Read the manual to find the correct way to turn the s***w to lean it out a bit.
