Problem with my JVC THS-66 Home cinema system.?

I've had a problem develop with my home cinema system over the past few days. Whenever i try to turn the volume up past 3/4 of the way, the powered subwoofer cuts out and turns itself off. I've checked the cables and mains plugs, and they seem ok. It works pretty much ok on a lower volume but i want to be able to enjoy DTS soundtracks in their full glory.

Any help, tips or advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

It's the protection circuit kicking in that's switching off your subwoofer and thus preventing it from damage.
