  1. put them in seprit rooms when they eat .

  2. First thing is to stop smacking him on the butt.  Dogs don't respond well to negative reinforcement.  A crate should not be used as punishment.

What you should do is feed buddy in that crate and give him his treats in there.  This way he can't bother spot and everyone will be happy.

  3. No need to smack him in the butt. Feed them together with a little distance, watch for ths dog who gets aggressive. When he's ready to take the other dogs food just push him back a little and shush him. He'll keep trying so you'd wanna keep doing this until he realizes he can't do it. Will take a little time to train him to stop since he's already used to being a little dominant. Try to diffuse the situation even before it happens, you'll see it through his body language, once you see a little sign of aggressiveness immediately correct this. Good luck.

  4. You are giving the dogs "negative" reinforcement.  In other words not training in the proper manner conducive to a well trained dog(s).  Do not smack, hit or use a crate as punishment.

"Using his puppy eyes" made me laugh out loud.  That is very cute!

Feed them separately and far enough away from each other that they cannot fight over food.  Even if you have to crate them to feed them at the same time in separate crates.

The people you have "talked to" do not have dog training methods well learned.  Pick up a library book or buy one on dog training or better yet find someone who in your area trains dogs and ask them to become your mentor.  Maybe do a little work for the experience.  Your dogs can become better with a little training and NO SPANKS!!

Using his puppy eyes!!! ROTF!    So that's what my dogs use!!!  I fell for it too! :-)

  5. Chill out! all dogs will do this and no you wont stop him, give them their treats separately. Its perfectly normal for dogs to steal each others food, stop worrying!

  6. Give them treats in different rooms.

Then he wont steal the other dogs treat.

My dad locks on cat in the bathroom with his food to eat and the other cat eats in the kitchen.  This stops the big one from eating the little ones food. LOL.
