Problem with my hp laptop?

Question

I bought a hp laptop a few months ago.When i try to switch it on from the battery only the keyboard is lighting up.Then when i power it up connected to the mains it works fine.Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

If you only bought it a few months ago then it is still under warranty. Don't mess with it - get in touch with your supplier
