Problem with my mother

im 18 y.o. boy. n i have a 10 y.o. younger brother. i love my brother a lot, but my mom thinks that i hate him. whenever i mistakenly hurt him (physically) she always shouts at me n tells that did it intentionally. i dunno why does she behaves like that. but it is depressening for me. she is behaving this way right from i started with my adolescence. she doesnt like if i get any of my friends at home. she doesnt like if i hang out with friends till late. she is always suspecious if a girl calls me n all. i do undestand that her intention behind this is gud but why doesnt ever she understand that im grown up now and need some privacy.

N DO ANSWER ME ABOUT THE BROTHER ISSUE. IT IS REALLY BOTHERING ME.

  1. you know how mothers usually act

they always favour their younger children and spoil them more

it happens to me 2 but theres nothing i can really do .all i do is complain about the fact that she always shouts at me and not my little brother and sometimes she will listen and others she will not

it really depends on her mood as well

i try not to fight with my little brother in front of her so that she wont get mad.thats how i solve my problems

as for your privacy, your mother does that to you because she is overprotective or maybe because something in the past happened to her that she doesnt want you to experience regarding society when she was a teenager

you just have to assure her that your friends are nice

bring them over to your house (request that from your mother or father) and introduce them to her.show her that you are mature enough to be hanging out with your friends and having a girlfriend

maybe you should address your father so that he can help you by calming down your mother about these issues
