Well i went to the hospital with my mom to visit a sick relative, i asked the doctor if she could take my mom's hieght and she was 5ft 8inches tall, now just recently i went for a checkup at a pediatric center and when they took my hieght they classified me as 5ft 10inches, well i am a good 6 inches taller than my mother, so iwas like WTF! i had them take it again and it was the same, so is there a problem with their measureing thing?

  1. No problem with the measuring thing, just do it again and record correctly.  It's a honest mistake.

  2. Quite possible there is a problem with their "measuring thing." The bar that touches the top of your head must be at a right angle to the vertical measurements on the scale. Often these bars are bent upward with years of use which results in under-measurement.

Wall mounted measuring things are more accurate, but ours was off about 1/2 inch after we installed a thicker carpet. Thank heaven for that power screwdriver from Home Depot.
