  1. Before you start THIS IS NOT ANY LEAGUE ANSWER but it would be considered a table foul and would have no bearing on the WIN if how ever you had missed the 8 it would have just been replaced to orig position Since you made the 8 it has no bearing on the win-Standard rules-

  2. Well depends on who your playing with but most likely you won as long as the black (8) ball goes in first but you would call this a foul. I'll have to look it up but if you foul the other person use the ball as if it were a scratch. Then as you say it was on the last turn so you would have won  unless you were playing for money...

  3. if it happened after the black ball had gone in you had already won. If it went in the pocket before the black ball I'm afraid you might have to give you're apponent a penalty shot or something when you put the ball in the d

  4. after you pocket the eight ball the only ball you have to worry about is the cue ball cause if you scratch you lose and since you didn't pocket the white you win...you could have pocketed one of his balls with the cue ball traveling around the table and it would have still counted as your win...so pocketed his ball with the cue stick or with a body part getting up off the table or with the cue ball you still win.

  5. Hello.

Man, that's a tough question.  Too many factors that are not covered under APA Tournament rules.

It would depend on where you are playing and what set of rules are being used.

As near as I can tell, you would not lose.  There are really no rules to cover what happens if you hit a ball with your cue (other than the cueball).  Because you hit another ball with your cue, you would have caused a foul, and normal foul rules would apply.

But here's what I would say.  The 8 ball would be spotted.  The opponents ball would stay in the pocket, and your opponent would have "ball in hand", meaning he can put the cue ball anywhere on the table and take his shot.  Then play would progress normally.

So as I see it, you wouldn't win, but you wouldn't lose either.

    Hope that helps you some,

    Robbie

  6. You win. There is no foul. And here's the reason:

You say your cue stick knocked your opponent's ball in the pocket. If you had missed the '8' ball, the opponent's ball would be placed exactly where it was on the table before you struck it. The fact that you were shooting the '8' ball has no bearing on the outcome. Which means there is no foul.

Hey, rckid1960.. it is covered in the APA rules. Look a little closer.

  7. Wow!! I cant belive it

Johnny is right. It is just a table foul ,You still win

  8. you lose

  9. you suck at pool then. looser.

  10. YOU LOOSE

  11. I haven't looked into it, and my BCA league didn't start yet until Monday but didn't the BCA just change the rule about moving a ball on your contact stroke and it being a foul.  I'm not 100% sure, but I think Jonhnny is right.

  12. It's a foul, but you don't lose, black bal is placed back on the table an the oomet's ball stays in the pocket. The pay continiues with yor o. pacing the white ball anhywere behind the line (jut like wheth white goesinto the pocket)! At least that's how we pla and what's happend 1 time I watched it on TV... hope that helps
