Problem with registering pictures on computer?

i use the picture motion browser on my computer to upload all the photos from my cards and have never had an issue with uploading and registering the pics to a file in the "my pictures" file. that is up until tonday. now all it does is let me succesfully upload them but i can't go any further than that. when i go to register them, it says its already registered under "my pictures" but it isn't. i even went and deleted some "albums" from the picture file but that didn't help at all. its driving me crazy because i like to back up all my albums with a cd and it wont let me do that either now. can someone maybe tell me what they think might be the problem? THANKS!!!

or maybe you could tell me of a much better (but free lol, im cheap) program to use instead of motion picture browser?? that might be easier than trying to fix something that i have no clue about

Yes i use   www.kodak.com    easyshare program .Download is free and easy to use.It  stores all your photos to there system in case you crash your PC.It lets you print from there,edit,email,Order prints and gifts using your pictures if you like.You can upload from your camera .It puts them in your collection and you can put into albums.Look into it it's great.FREE

if you are using sony camera, check for updates,

if problems started occurring recently, may be computer and not program, try scan-disk error checker and analyze with defragmenter,

from your cards, may depend on transferring methods, also note you mention deleting, may be best not to delete files and folders until later, after resolving issues and backing up on cd/dvd, you could also manually transfer images from disk drive to folder on main drive,
