Problem with syncing songs onto iPod.?

Question

I just got a new computer and had someone transfer all of the songs from my iPod to the new laptop. However, it only transferred songs that were illegally downloaded, but songs that I actually bought from iTunes weren't. A box popped up and said that these songs could not be transferred. Does anyone know why this is?

By the way, I just checked my library and the bought songs are not deleted.

Well why not just illegally download the songs that couldn't be synced it's the easiest way to solve this problem.
