Problem with the army in greece need help?

i'm an american citizen but when i was 12 i went to greece for 8-9 years went to school but at 18 they told me i have to go to the army but i left the country but now i want to go for vacation but dont know if they can hold me there cause im awol if anyone knows what i can do please help

I'm pretty sure they can't force you in as long as you are not a citizen of Greeze

You are obviously both a Greek and a US citizen, or you would not have been able to study in Greece for so long.

There are benefits to having dual citizenship - but there also can be obligations.  If you are also a Greek citizen, then you are required to do your military service.
