Problem with the program Realplayer?

I have it installed, but when I download something to watch (it's legal, btw), it doesn't show anything. I can hear what everyone is saying just fine, but the screen is just black. Anyone have suggestions for me?

THE DOWNLOAD MAY NOT USE THE REAL PLAYER.IT MIGHT NEED ONLY THE WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER ONLY.IT ALSO SOMETIMES DEPENDS ON YOUR BANDWIDTH OF INTERNET SERVICE.DIAL-UP TAKES WAY LONGER TO PLAY VIDEO THAN DSL OR CABLE.
