Problem with video camera??

Ok, I want to upload JUST the pics I have on my camera to my computer, not my videos, and I dont know how to do that. Help?! *also, how to upload one of the pics I currently have on my files to a question on here? I click on the pic and I press copy, but then I go back to paste, and there is nothing to paste. I dont get it!! Help [again]!!

just go into the pictures file and drag the pics on your desktop or copy and paste like you said and this time put them in a folder you made
