I have a Sony Bravia HD LCD and a 60 with the HD leads. I can get the HD picture with no sound on AV 2 and get sound but no picture on AV 6. Any ideas what I doing wrong? I'm also linked up to a Sony 5.1 surround sound where the sound is coming from although I have to use the tele speaker when I play my PS3.

  1. The 360 should have an optical audio out that you connect to your Sony surround sound receiver.  You may need an optical cable for this (not supplied with the Xbox 360).

Your HDTV is getting its audio from the HDMI cable.  If you want to utilize your AV receiver for sound, then you need to connect that optical cable.

  2. You have to set your Xbox resolution in it's menu to 720p or 1080i for the Video 6 connections to work properly....

As for your AV2...that requires a Low Definition signal like 480i.....

That's why you get a picture using AV2 and not on AV 6....

As for the sound, I find that interesting that it doesn't work on AV 2...especially if that cable is the same one you're using on AV6....

You may have bad Audio input connectors on AV 2 , so I suggest trying AV 3 or AV 1 to see if it's AV2 thats broken, or if the stereo audio cable is broken...
