The majority of the time my clutch works fine. But when the engine gets hot after 40 mins of driving the bike pulls forward even when the clutch is pulled. I have had the cable slack adjusted many times, with no improvment. bike is an 04 modle 650 v star classic. was wondering if cable may be stretching when it gets hot or what. cant figure it out, but it is a real pain after a ride when it is hard to shift and pulls forward while holding the clutch. any help thanks a bunch.. 1. Clutches drag when they get hot and the plates expand. This is usually due to incorrect adjustment. There is a s***w and nut adjuster under the cover where the cable goes. Here is what you do. Remove the cover and find the adjuster. Loosen the cable adjustment until there is lots of slack. Loosen the nut on the s***w adjuster, and turn the s***w out a bit. turn the s***w in until you feel it contact the clutch inside. When it hits the clutch, turn it out about 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Hold it in this position, and tighten the nut. Adjust the cable so that there is about 3mm of free play in the clutch lever at the spot where the lever hits it's bracket (this is the bit that's clamped to the 'bars). Put the cover back on and test ride it. Your problems should have gone. Lots of luck.

  2. Fuel in oil at one time or another.

  3. bikes have a wet clutch...  change the oil.. should improve things..
