Problems after heart surgery?

there is a patient i know who 3 days ago had a mitral valve repaired, a singly bypass and a hole in the heart repaired and has just been moved out of the intensive care unit. He was getting better and slowly gaining his strength back but now his skin is slightly yellow and his skin feels quite cold even though his body temperature is fine. Also his heart beat is very irregular. Could anyone give any indication of what this could be?

Primarily at least a bit of liver failure (jaundice is a symptom).

I'm sure the doctors are aware, as these symptoms would prompt the nurse to call them.

Time to go back to the ICU, I bet.
