Problems connecting camera to computer???

i just got a new computer and it wont let my camera connect to it. on my other two i didnt have to do anything but plug it in and go to paint but this a harder and i dont know what to do. ive tried using the installation disk but its still not working!!! someone please tell me whats wrong and how do i fix it. thank you!!!!

What kind of camera is it? Is your new computer using Vista, if so you will need a vista compatible driver.

i think its the usb port try conencting it to another port ......
