Question:

Problems connecting two different computers to wireless network?

I am currently on a windows xp laptop connected to the internet via at&t's wireless dsl service...

I have another vista laptop that will NOT connect to the internet..I even connected to the network, it says successfully connected to the same network this on is on, and when i click on internet explorer none of the websites will come up, all show as unavailable.

Any ideas?

Please, don't answer with something like "go to this website for a free laptop", because it makes the question already have an answer and this tends to make people think "it has already been taken care of", when it was just some stupid jerk wanting to post an answer...Thanks?

  1. Your laptop may show it's connected, but open up your network connection windows.

Now, check the line between your network icon and the globe icon whether or not it has a cross there.

If there is a cross, you are actually not connected yet. Then, disabled your connection and re-enabled it again.
