Problems getting the mouse to work ?

I need help with my mouse.When i connect my mouse to the ps/2 connector in the back of computer the mouse doesn't work at all. I have tried 3 different mouses and none of them seem to work. My keyboard and the rest of the computer seems to be working fine, but i can't get the mouse to move. Can someone help me with this please?

  1. Did you go to control panel, MOUSE and see that all the settings are okay-such as touch pad on/off etc.  under hardware is the mouse installed?

    Right click my computer, go to PROPERTIES, HARDWARE AND SELECT DEVICE MANAGER - go to the mice and other pointing device, right click and try to install another driver


  2. maybe your'e plugging it in the wrong part! Try another usb part. Any usb part will work!
