Problems installing a radio (Sony CDX-GT210) into a Mk3 Golf?

Question

I have installed it and it works fine. The only problem is that it will only turn on when the key is in the ignition. When the key is removed the radio turns off and looses all of its settings. I have a new ISO wiring harness installed, could it be a problem with that??

Any help welcome.

you don't have constant power, the yellow wire from the after market stereo needs power all the time, you have it hooked up to the wire that has power when the key is in...you might try switching the red and yellow wires at the deck...just cut and flip them...red to where the yellow is and visa versa...good luck
