Problems on my hard drive space?

Can anyone help me coz my hard drive space is getting smaller although im nt downloading any stuffs.. Actually im sharing my pc wit my 2 bros any everyone having our own user accounts. Last week my C drive has 9gb of free space. Bt nw it has reduced to less thn 1gb.. N i dunno watz wrong. My stuffs on my user account is 14 gb but when i check on the hard drive it shows tat im using 28gb space for my account,double frm wat im really using. Is it because of file sharing or any other prob.. Plz can any1 help me on this..

  1. It takes a lot more space when you set up separate accounts "profiles" on your computer.  If you can all get along with using 1, then delete the other 2 profiles.  Defrag your computer and clean out all temporary internet files.  Delete any programs you don't use using "Add and Remove Programs" from your Control Panel.  If you use Outlook, delete your old emails you don't use anymore and your spam.  


  2. Personally, i don't think that using mulitple user accounts is worth it.  But anyways, have you been using disk defragmentor and disk clean up regularly? if not, they're under accessories, and system tools

  3. You can help a little by deleting all of your Fonts in control panel that it will let you.

    Also click Start/My Computer and right click Local Disk and left click properties.

    Now, at the bottom, click "Compress drive to save disk space".
