as the player has a usb port i have downloaded 1080p and 720p video from www.stage6.com to my pen drive and tried to play it using the usb port. i was not able to play 1080 or even the 720 giving me an error which said "resolution not supported".

DETAILS

they are connected via HDMI

player supports divx6

i tried to play avi as well as wmv formats but both gave same error

i am not able to understand why is it giving me such errors when the player n tv both support 1080p

  1. Your DVD player is a standard dvd player.  It only upscales.

  2. To re-iterate on a previous answer....your player can only accept 720x480 (480p) resolution and then the player will upscale to 1280x720 (720p) or 1920x1080 (1080p). It will not be able to play any content that is encoded at anything higher than 480i/p.

  3. You are HD supporter,

So you know all about HDMI,1080i,1080p,upscaling,Free to Air.

    Cool.............
