Problems with Accessing my songs

problems with Getting my mp3 to act right when i turn it on 2 weeks ago all it said was "Starting up".... and its been that way ever since .I also have my mp3 pluged up to the USB port now so if you can troubleshoot the problem off of your computer that would be a blessing or you could just point me to an troubleshooting site for my MP3.
