Question:

Problems with CD-Rs in car CD player?

I'm using Staples CD-Rs 52x, 700 MB with I-Tunes.

My car is a 2000 with -what was then - a top-of-the-line system.

It has no problem with regular CDs, but it takes almost 20 times putting the CD-R in to get it to read (i'm patient ;)). Once it reads, it will read that CD alright for months. It happens every time I use a new CD-R.

Is it related to quality? Something with burning? Or is my stereo just grumpy?

  1. if your CDs were not 'finished' after burning then it will take some more time for the lense to read the data, only put a maximum of 14 songs, anymore will take up sound quality on the cd.

    hope that helps!

  2. That happens with my car stereo too..It's annoying. I think it just takes more time to read cd's that are burned?
