I have had itunes on my computer and recently it doesn't work. it wont open. so i decided to delete it and when i went to go delete it, it said the file cannot be found. and it made me look for it, but i couldn't find it. in remove programs and stuff you know how it has a picture of the apple symbol it doesn't have it but has a picture of a paper. i don't know if this makes sense but I'm very frustrated and want it to start working.

It sounds like some of the files are missing and / or the registry keys are missing.  Try installing the latest version of iTunes from the Apple web site.
