Question:

Problems with Microsoft Word.. please help? Print Screens included!?

Hey..

For some reason I am having a problem with my microsoft word.

At first I thought that the top and bottom margins were missing as I was able to type from right at the top of the page to the bottom, but when I go into edit them it says that they exist.

I have my word on print layout so that I can see the whole page but i then noticed that it looked a bit squashed!

I then realised that if I typed from right at the top of the page, where the cursor is allowing me to but then go into print preview.. it shows the margins are in place and that the text that I have just shown is infact in the right place (a few cm's down the page).

How on earth can I change the settings so that I can see the whole page still but with the margins also?

I have included some print screens so hopefully you will be able to see what Im talking about.

Thanks

  1. It sounds like you've clicked on 'Hide white space'. If you move your cursor to the top or bottom of the page it changes to two little page icons with arrows going in or out, depending on whether or not it's hiding. Move your cursor to the top of your page and you should get 'Show white space'.

  2. I just normally run with the rulers in print view and works fine
