Problems with Toe?

I'm a beginner snowboarder tryin to advance. I've been snowboarding for about a year and a half. I have my own gear. I'm goofy and I'm having alot of problems turning left. Whenever I try to toe I fall on my knees. Everyone is giving me advice telling me to toe w/ my front foot, toe w/ my back foot, bend my knees, toe w/ both feet, its all just way too confusing! Someone suggested that my bindings maybe set incorrectly. Is there way I can tell if I just totally suck or if its my bindings.

  1. I had trouble switching between toe and heel for a season.  my friend told me not to think about it and just push my foot out, you have to be agressive to figure it out.  the best part is that once you have it it will all of the suddon click and you wont have a problem with it anymore.  and yea try the falling leaf, that will help you get used to using that part of your board.  good luck and have a good season

  2. the way you tell if it's your bindings is you spend a whole day adjusting the angle you have your bindings set at till you find a setting you like. This might be the problem

If the problem is indeed that you do suck at toeside turning, there's one relly good way to deal with it (actually I had this problem with heel side for my first couple seasons). Do a ton of falling leaf. Just ride your toeside until you become comfortable on it. Once you start getting comfortable at falling leaf, start working in toeside falling leaf into a heelside turn, etc. You really have to suck up your pride and go back to basics until you have the basics down.

    good luck with this!
