Problems with Xbox 360 on HDTV?

I have a Sony Bravia HD LCD and a xbox 360 with the HD leads. I can get the HD picture with no sound on AV 2 and get sound with a very poor picture on AV 6. Any ideas what I doing wrong? Could the HD leads supplied be dodgy?

It sounds like you have your Audio RCA's in the wrong location. From what you say, the Audio RCA (Red and White) are connected to a Composite input. You need to make sure that you have them plugged into the appropriate jacks for Component.
