  1. maybe there is something wrong with the milk

  2. You very likely ARE lactose-intolerant.  Why not buy some Lactaid or Vanilla soymilk, and see if that helps.  Most lactose-intolerant people CAN eat yogurt, and the bacteria may help settle your stomach and regulate your digestion.  My daughter can't drink milk, but it takes more ice cream for her to feel the consequences....  so, maybe, you just aren't eating as much ice cream as you are drinking milk at one time:) ..... Breyer's makes a wonderful Lactose-Free Natural Vanilla ice cream, that tastes exactly like the regular;  and sorbets are dairy free (sherbet DOES have dairy).........

  3. Uh huh, right there with ya!  I had the stomach virus several months ago and it really put me down flat for 2 days.  Ever since, I can eat a little cheese but anything with milk, forget about it!  Doc said it's not really all that unusual.  I'm supposed to pop a couple of Tums a day for the calcium and not worry about it....

Sucks big time, nuttin' like a cold glass of milk with cookies!

  4. it does sound like you could be lacto intolerant.  It happens 'suddenly'--meaning there's no exact cause to it occuring.  It happened to me when I became pregnant.  Watch your milk intake to see quantities and such.  You'd be surprised what will make you sick if you are lacto intolerant.  The best way to do it is to cut out milk products completely, then start adding them back in.  If you're sick--most likely you're LIT.

  5. Switch to soymilk
