Question:

Problems with glasses?

For years now I've worn contacts. I still have them, but occasionally I'd like to wear glasses, so I got a pair. The past few nights that I've worn the glasses I've been seeing double lights but only at night. I don't have this problem with the contacts and they are the same perscription. Could this be a problem or simply that I need to get used to the glasses?

  1. anytime u get new lenses it takes awhile to get used to them.  especially if u are only wearing them at night.  so dont worry it will get better soon!

  2. Yes, it takes a few, sometimes weeks to get use to a new prescription, esp when its a drastic change from the old pair.

It also maybe depends on the centering of the lenses over your pupils.  If this is off, it can cause double vision.

Wait a few more days, if it still bothers you, go back to where you got you glasses and have them do an adjustment and check to make sure its the proper Rx.

And my two cents... sometimes at these chain stores, the people helping you are trained but usually not qualified to get you the right answer.  Make sure the person helping you knows about optics and they just are not a sales person...
