Question:

Problems with internet connectivity after installing Kaspersky Antivirus software?

Last week I purchased and installed the new version 7.0 of Kaspersky Internet Security. I had previously run Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 and not experienced any connectivity problems. By disabling the new version I have been able to access the internet on both my desktops which are connected wirelessly. My laptop however which is also connected wirelessly will not access the internet. Instant Messaging programs including MSN go online just fine and my Network and Sharing Center Icon indicates that I have Local and Internet Access with perfect range. I receive the "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage" message whenever I open IE.

Can anyone offer suggestions as to (a) Why this is happening? and (b) How can I resolve and prevent this from occuring again?

Thanks for any assistance.

  1. 7.0 is no longer the new version, 2009 8.0.0.357 and 8.0.0.454 is the new version of Kaspersky you can go to there site and update to the new version for free if you license is still valid.

Try using Kaspersky forum you will have to register and create a username and password but the forum usually helps.

  2. Go on their website>support>FAQ....

  3. I had a same problem , but i reinstalled windows .

Try using Mozilla Firefox or Opera ; and you wasted your money on Kaspersky , should`we bought NOD32 .

PS: Don`t buy a programs just like that , try them first [God loves p****y]...

  4. Firstly,You did not waste your money by buying this AV.

It's the best anti-virus and now,Try to disable the Anti-virus or exit it.

Then try to check,If your Laptop can browse the net,If yes,Then go to settings to kaspersky and go in trusted zone or exclusions and allow your wireless connection there.if after exit kaspersky, you still can't browse the net, then problem is in your connection.Make sure you have configured your connection correctly.
