Question:

Problems with links within messages in Yahoo Groups?

I have a group on Yahoo and have the following problem:

When somebody posts a text and wants to add a link within the text, it happens that the URL is some kind of "cut". There is the beginning of the URL (in blue like all URLs) but the rest of it is like an ordinary text.

I have realized (?) that the messages containing the ">" at the beginning of the line have this problem. Messages without the nasty ">" are fine. Actually, i don't have this problem but my buddies have.

What can we do? Are there any settings in Yahoo to change that?

Please help me and the members of my group!

Many thanks!

  1. The > symbol is added by some email providers. You can even turn it on with Yahoo mail if you wanted in mail options. For users of Yahoo Mail they can click on Options, Mail Options and it is on that first page. It is usually used to show the old message. If you put your new message at the top of all that the > symbol usually does not show. If people add their message to the end then the symbol will show. You have to ask your people to turn that off or put their message at the top of everything else.

  2. You can contact the customer care team for this to be properly addressed.

You can visit this link and look for "Chat with us live now".

This is a 24-7 live support online.

However, if you don’t see it, you’re not currently a power user.

Just keep using your Group and at some point in the future you'll be able to be given that great privilege.
