  1. Try to study, and tell the teacher if you don't get something. They have iep for a reason. It helps alot of people. Somebodys willing to help you. <Maybe you aren't ready for the other class yet. Just stick iot out. And if your with your friends, aren't you just going to focus less (yah i love being with my friends too) and fall behind in class?

  2. In order to get out of a special ed class, you have some options. First of all, IEP classes are provided to assist you with learning math at the level you are at and to increase your levels. However, there is no law that says you have to be in that class. Your parent can call for an IEP meeting and cancel your special ed services. This would probably a mistake, but it can be done. You may be overwhelmed by regular math and find yourself failing.

The other option would be to meet your IEP goals in math. Spend time on your own working on math. Being with your friends is important, but right now your life is about learning as much as you can so you can get a decent job. It really makes a difference in your future adult lifestyle.

You can play with your friends now and ignore the fact that you aren't learning math. This kind of behavior will have you watching your friends doing jobs that they like and that pay well, while you work at some dead end employment. Or, you can look to your future and start figuring out what is important and put your energy there.

  3. okay this is going to sound stupid and cliche but it worked with my son who wanted out of his iep math class in fourth grade 2nd quater he came to me and said that he wanted to get out of the class so we wrote down the goal and put our time frame on it he wanted to be out by the end of fifth grade he made it he is now in 7th grade and is doing good at the bottom of the goal he wrote focus believe and you WILL achieve it was wrote just like that and every day he study and xtra 20 min. and it worked it also read that pharse we still spend 3 hours of every weekend studying math  even though he is in 7th we go all the way back to 3rd grade and the teachers said that is what is helping him we play alot of math games on line you can find them in the kids section of ask.com you just need to see your goal and go for it
