Problems with my Compaq Computer

Question

It starts up real slow.

When I start it up it says:
Important-Potential Errors Found in the system:
During the scan of files at system start up, potential errors in the system registry were found:

NT_Kernel error 1256
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

It also says if I don't fix it right away then I will have computer problem like: Freeze ups, Viruses, Spy-ware, etc..
