Question:

Problems with my Yahoo picture/avatar!?

Hi there,

This is so bloody annoying!

Ok.. my avatar picture keeps disappearing yet when I go to 'Edit My Profile' and it gives the following three options..

* No Picture

* Use my Yahoo! 360 Picture

* Use my Yahoo! Avatar

Anyway so anyway, 'Use my Yahoo! Avatar' is selected already so why does the grey silhouette keep showing as the avatar picture?

Also, I have a Yahoo! 360 profile with a picture uploaded yet again, when I click 'Edit My Profile' and those 3 options appear again, in the 'Use my Yahoo! 360 Picture' option is the grey silhouette AGAIN (where a thumb-nail picture of my uploaded picture SHOULD be).

Does anyone know how to resolve this or is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks,

Linzi. xx

  1. I have the same problem. Some say that it has to do with yahoo's server and theres nothing that you can do to help it.

  2. TO GET A PHOTO/CUSTOM PICTURE AS YOUR AVATAR.

    If you want a photo/custom picture as your avatar you need to make a yahoo 360 account. http://360.yahoo.com/login.html?.done=ht...

    The photo needs to be saved on your computer as a jpg file, don't worry about the size to much yahoo will adapt it.

    1> Click "my page” (top of page).

    2> Click "edit personal photo" (on the left above photo window).

    3> Click “browse” choose the photo from your photos click "save", Set as primary and "save".

    4> Go to your “edit my profile” http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit click “use my yahoo 360 picture” scroll down and press "preview", and then "OK" in the next screen.

    And your done.

    Some users are experiencing a problem with the avatar showing or appearing and disappearing, since yahoo upgraded the site and continue with the work. You may need to load the avatar again and check the settings. It can take some time to show but it will eventually so try to be patient.

    i hope i helped i just did mine 5min ag
