Problems with my motorcycle??? HELP!!!?

ok, i own a 05 kawi ZX6R, i barely got it and i was wondering if this is normal......the bike when is warm, when i pull the clutch a little whistling sound starts, its not that loud but its sort of a whistling sound, then i let go of the clutch and it stops ... what could it be??? thanks

  1. Perhaps the bearings for the clutch release mechanism are worn.

    When tension is applied to the clutch cable, the clutch release gets kocked at an angle and allows steam from the crankcase to escape past the seal (like a tea pot).

    While the engine is running, listen for where the noise is coming from.

    Go to - your bike - Parts Diagrams - Engine Covers

    Bearing 92046 & seal 92049

    Go to - Clutch

    Check the release shaft for ware 13102

    Wiggle the release and use your judgment as to whether it has excessive play.


  2. Not really sure what it is but you might want to grease it up. If lubricating it doesn’t do the trick, you might want to get it checked out and not risk it if it is damaged.
