Problems with self confidence. ?

Lately I've been experiencing some unusual issues within my self, specifically in the range of my self confidence. Since I've made the plunge and moved to a different state, finding a job i'm confident I can do has been a horrible task.

I held my first job here for 5 mos, then i transferred to another department where I was 4 days later laid off! Since i left the previous department, they would not hire me back.

Since then I've experienced anxiety control and self confidence issues. I'm so worried that when I start my new job, I'm not going to be able to do it correctly, and they are just going to be like "you're fired, you suck," (to put it all bluntly.)

how do i overcome this and just tell myself "i can do this, and i can do it well, and everything's going to be fine!" because right now, this seems impossible to me.

  1. Couple of things.  First,  you're letting your previous experiences color how you're looking at this new opportunity.  Try not to let this happen by looking at your thinking and asking yourself how realistic is it?  I did a podcast some time back on how our thinking affects us.  You might find this useful.  Here's the link:

Second, you will feel better about yourself if you just take it easy and let yourself do well in your next job.  You need to find something you like doing.  Maybe the reason you didn't do so well in your last job is because part of you just didn't want to be there.  Some part of you maybe knew that the job just wasn't right for you.  Find something you think you'll enjoy and you'll naturally do well at it.  This is how you gain back your self esteem.  Have a listen to this episode, again from my podcast.  I think it'll be helpful:

I hope this helps.  You can do it.  Go get 'em.
