Problems with sky box?

picture keeps freezing, jumping on numerous channels, phoned sky getting an engineer on wedensday,£65 pound fee for his jolly service, boy on the phone said my signal wasn't strong enough and this is why am getting the engineer(signal was fine for last 3 years?), funny how some channels are fine though, feels like am being ripped off any ideas.

anytime i ever get a problem with the digi box, first thing to do is turn off the box completely, i mean unplug from wall as well. Take out the viewing card, give it a wipe with a clean cloth, wait a couple of minutes, re insert the card and turn on the box. 9/10 it has done the trick over the years. When my dish got knocked however, i found it affected all of the channels and wouldnt work at all, its un usual to just get some of them. watch out for sky they will sting you for cash left right and centre!

yeah prevuiousd advice is sound. I was given this advice over the phone by sky. The phone call cost me a fortune too!
