Process in becoming a british citizen if you're from the US?

What's the process of becoming a british citizen if I'm from the US? I want to study there in a few years. Also, about how much would it cost?

Becoming a British citizen takes years...and Americans are at the end of a very long line to qualify.  You do not need to become a British citizen to study in the u.K  You will need to apply to a university there, be accepted , and apply for a student visa.  see site below to learn about studying in the U.K.
