Process to get a Canadian Tourist Visa for Indians?

Hi,

I am an Indian working in the US. I am planning to visit Canada on a tourist visa. Can some one let me know the process like how to apply and where. What documents required and also is it a safe way to send my passport by Courier?

Start at Immigration Canada site for details and deal with the nearest Canadian Embassy or Consulate.  (DC, Seattle, Buffalo, Detroit, NY, LA)
