Processing auto insurance claims . how to get into handling claims??

i have three years with an auto insurance company that processes auto insurance bills. i have two years in auto insurance billings. this mainly just processing the bills. i am moving to the UK. is this enough experience to get in to handling claims/adjuster.??

  1. It would likely depend on the insurance company, and the actual position.  The more well known insurers require adjusters(those handling bodily injury claims, significant property damage, contractual claims etc.) require a four year college degree.  They generally do not require experience.  The insurance company will train the adjuster.  

    If you do not qualify for an adjuster's position, you could be a Claims Service rep.   Where I work, these folks handle first and third party auto claims.  Some handle minor injury claims.   After a few years at that position, most get promoted to the Claims Adjuster positions.
