  1. Duel core means that there are 2 processors working together in one.

  2. This is one of AMDs high end processors made specifically for light weight note books that is what the mobile means. The processor performs well at multi-tasking because of its dual core technology hence the x2. One chip however 2 cores.

64 means that it runs 64 bit applications however it is also back wards compatibly meaning it will also run 32 bit applications.

  3. good

  4. It's not 64 x 2 (as in 128)

64 and X2 are brand marks (and meant ot be read seperately).

The 64 lets you know it complies with the x86_64 instruction set.

X2 is to let you know it's dual core.

The markings are specific to AMD.

  5. keep in mind that when they say 2x it doesnt mean 2 times 2ghz. it just has 2 cores which make it more smoother. you are just getting a new generation of 2ghz

  6. Not only, it also means that your processor supports what is called "64 bit Technology" at the moment most of the hardware run on "32 bit". It is the next step that will allow us users to do more crazy stuff on our machines.

  7. it means that the AMD turion has 2 64 bit processor

thats why they say 64X2. AMD's are usually good, my personal experience says its much better than Intel. I have both Intel and AMD and Intel always crashes but AMD has not crashed once tilll date

  8. The 64x2 just means that it is a dual core processor, and yeah it is a decent processor just remember that AMD overclocks their processors so a 2GHz AMD is equal to around a 1.6GHz Intel Dual core processor. Not to mention AMDs are cheaper to buy

  9. X 2 means it's dual core which would allow you to multi task easier

  10. Turion 64 is a dual-core processor made by AMD. The "X2" is just there to remind buyers that it is in fact a dual-core processor. At 2Ghz, this is a reasonable chip for a laptop. The "mobile" term means that the chip is optimized for low heat and low power consumption.
