Producer's theory ... Math problem? HELP ??

The question is: q = 500k

The answer is K* = 1 / 500q

I need to know how you get to this answer ...

The answer makes no sense to me. Help me plzz

You are right. The question and answer do not make much sense because 'q = 500k' is not a question at all. It is an equation relating q and k saying that the value of q is 500 times the value of k. And form this statement, it follows that k is one- fivehundreth of the value of q ie k= q/500. = (1/500)q

Where from one gets K* is not clear.
