Product key. i have just rebooted my pc with recovery cd rom. then it asked me for product key

i have just rebooted my pc with recovery cd rom. then it asked me for product key which i typed in & it come up incorrect. this is the original one i have used a few times to reboot. so now i cant get windows xp home on my pc i can only get internet on please help
