Question:

Professional Club Handball in Canada?

I was wondering if we only have the top national teams and the random high school and senior leagues only or do we have an elite professional league? It seems like such a cool sport, but there's almost no coverage, if any in Canada.

  1. Ya there is.

  2. you play handball by putting your hand on my balls

  3. There should be

  4. there is only small rec/amatuer leagues in north america

    sorry

  5. Canada doesn't have an elite pro league like you would over in Europe. As far as I could tell what teams they do have are in Quebec , must be the French influence, this web sight was all in French.

After that for more handball info in Canada go the sight of the Federation.

With the exception of Greenland no where else in North America  is handball popular enough for a pro league as the sport is really not none at all. Most people here handball and they think your talking about the version where you hit a ball off the wall with your hand.

  6. what?

  7. i play in calgary. i go to tournaments at least 2-3 times a year. Edmonton is sacrifising a lot more than calgary so they have a better team. they go to Europe for handball, and 2 of their players are playing in Norway. so in Alberta there is pretty good coverage. i moved from Turkey and i was hoping that there would be no teams but there is and its going pretty well. last year we got the 3rd place in Canada in Nationals tournament. Besides Alberta, Quebec is doing really good too!! they have very good teams in juvenile, junior and senior!

you check them out from the websites which all the pro. teams has. Even here in Calgary...

    Hope this helps. =)
