Do professional/varsity swimmers workout and take protein powder?

  1. Not sure exactly what you mean by a workout? Competitive swimmers, like any serious athlete, do many hours of practice and also weight training for strength. As far as protein powder, I guess it depends. Swimming takes a huge amount of energy. If the swimmer is trying to build muscle, perhaps. A good diet for swimmers includes both adequate protein and carbs.


  2. i am on my high school varsity swim team and i dont take protein powder instead i eat  2 power bars and drink plenty of water and we do work out in the weight room.

  3. They will already be working out everyday if they are professional/varsity. Maybe they will do some weight training on their own, but it's not necessary. And protein powder is just a personal choice. I didn't, but maybe others do.
