Professional Wrestling Rankings – 9th to 15th position
The wrestling world was rocked by explosive matches during Summer Slam, Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smack Down. After the explosive week it is Kane on 1st, John Cena on 2nd, Sheamus on 3rd, Randy Orton on 4th, Nexus on 5th, Big Show on 6th, Miz on 7th and Rey Mysterio on 8th position in professional wrestling rankings.
The blonde wrestler from Hollywood, California, Dolph Ziggler is on the 9th position on the rankings chart. Dolph is the current Inter Continental Champion and does not believe in honest fair play. He retained his title at Summer Slam against Kofi Kingston after Nexus intervened in the match and gave Kofi a beating. Dolph again successfully defended his title against Kofi on Friday Night Smack Down after his girlfriend and official consultant to Smack Down General Manager, Vickie Guerrero, illegally intervened in the match. The official stopped the match and hence Dolph retained his belt.
After the absence of many months, Melina has retained the Championship belt which she lost some time ago. The Latino beauty, who is on the 10th position in the wrestling rankings, defeated Alicia Fox at Summer Slam to become the new Divas Champion.
The team of two dominant divas, Lay – Cool is on the 11th position in the professional wrestling rankings. These two divas proved their dominance when they attacked Melina after she won the Divas Championship from Alicia Fox.
The self proclaimed most handsome wrestler in WWE, Dashing Cody Rhodes, has continuously improved his rankings to land on the 12th position this week. Cody showed his wild side to the wrestling fans when he brutally attacked NXT rookies after Husky Harris was eliminated from the competition. Cody Rhodes then attacked Christian after the match between, Christian and Drew McIntyre. He joined forces with Drew to inflict punishment on Christian’s injured arm. Many believe that Cody Rhodes will create a vicious tag team with Drew McIntyre and wreak havoc on Friday Night Smack Down.
It was a tough week for Kofi Kingston, who has landed on the 13th position in the professional wrestling rankings. Kofi was robbed of his title opportunity for the Inter Continental Championship on Summer Slam and Friday Night Smack Down against Dolph Ziggler. Kofi has been unlucky as most of his matches have been characterised by outside interference. Kofi was extremely angry after his last title opportunity and he gave a vicious beating to Dolph Ziggler. The former Inter Continental Champion needs to make an alliance with someone who could watch his back during the important matches.
The Rated – R superstar, Edge is on the 14th position this week. It was an explosive week for him as he participated in the 7 on 7 elimination tag team match. While Edge was arguing with John Cena, Heath Slater came from behind and pinned Edge in the middle of the ring. Edge tried to regain some glory and respect in the ring when he fought with Heath Slater in a one-on-one singles match on Monday Night RAW. Edge was defeated again after he failed to enter the ring before the referee’s final count of 10. Edge needs to win a big match if he hopes to improve his wrestling ranking in the next week.
The Hart Dynasty has retained its ranking from last week by staying on the 15th position. Hart Dynasty, which consists of, Tyson Kidd, and, David Hart Smith was out of action last Monday Night RAW. But then the current unified Tag Team Champions headlined wrestling news when the legendary Hall of Famer, Bret “The Hit Man” Hart awarded them the new Tag Team Championship belts. It will not be long when other tag teams in WWE will challenge the supremacy and dominance of Hart Dynasty and there will be some tough competition in the tag team division.
