Professional Wrestling Rankings till July 18, 2010 – Top 5 Wrestlers in WWE
In just a matter of two days, bodies will be flying everywhere and a ladder will rule the ring. But this will also be the time when the fate of the prestigious WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship will be decided in two brutal matches.
After the last week of suffering and carnage in and outside the ring, it is the WWE champion Sheamus who has occupied the top position in the professional wrestling rankings. Sheamus, who comes from a long line of Celtic warriors, will face John Cena in a brutal and career threatening h**l in a Cell Steel Cage match for the WWE Championship at the Money in the Bank Pay Per View. This match was specially announced by the anonymous General Manager of Monday Night RAW.
This match was announced because many feared that Nexus would interfere in a simple wrestling match. A steel cage match is safe because the cage is locked and no one can interfere from outside. Sheamus received a boost in wrestling rankings last week after he formed a strange alliance with John Cena and walked in the ring with a chair in his hand and attacked Nexus. However, wrestling pundits believe that this alliance is short-lived, and both Sheamus and John Cena will beat the h**l (pun intended) out of each other in the steel cage match.
It is the apex Viper of WWE, Randy Orton, who occupies the 2nd position in the professional wrestling rankings. Randy Orton lost a one on one match against Edge on Monday Night RAW. This match, which was characterized by outside interference, ended with Randy Orton standing proudly in the ring. Randy Orton received applause from different circles of the professional wrestling world as he executed a devastating R.K.O to the high flying Evan Bourne.
The seven time WWE champion has retained his 3rd position from last week. John Cena fought a gruelling 6 on 1 handicap match against the Nexus on Monday Night RAW. Though John Cena lost the match, he delivered vicious chair shots to the back and chest of Heath Slater and David Otunga. Though John Cena will be engaged in a steel cage match on the Money in the Bank Pay Per View, there are rumours that Nexus will try to find a way around to interfere in the match and give a beating to John Cena.
The 500 pounder Big Show, who is the largest athlete of the world, has seen a big surge in the professional wrestling rankings as he has gained two valuable points to occupy the 4th position this week. Big Show gave a beating to the entire Straight Edge Society and choke-slammed Luke Gallows and the masked man. However, Big Show received cheers on another remarkable accomplishment. Big Show trapped the leader of the Straight Edge Society, CM Punk, on a steel ladder and took off his mask. CM Punk, who thinks he is better than everyone else in the world, has always been reluctant to show his face in the ring. Wrestling pundits believe that the Straight Edge Society will attack Big Show in the coming week to take revenge from him.
Rey Mysterio received the 5th position in the professional wrestling rankings. Rey Mysterio is healing from a devastating ankle injury caused by Jack Swagger in the last few weeks. Jack Swagger used the vicious Ankle Lock to destroy the ankle of Rey Mysterio. Rey Mysterio and Jack Swagger will fight for the World Heavyweight Wrestling Championship at the upcoming Money in the Bank Pay Per View. Rey Mysterio received applause from the crowd after he announced that he would fight Jack Swagger with an injured ankle in the ring.
