  1. Simple answer would be not much. Most professional pool players earn only enough to survive, if they are lucky. Only the top 50 or so in the world make enough off of tournament winnings to live comfortably. The outside sponsorship and tv deals just arent there to support big payouts.

Keep in mind that many more players make a modest living or even a good one, by playing money matches. In fact I think it would be safe to say that a lot more players earn the bulk of their income in this way rather than in tournaments.

  2. Not at all-It is not even a living if you dont play for money dont give up your day job. When you see the top 20 on tour dont think they are on their game. They dont want to show how good they are They will play a race to 11 for more money than any tourn will pay.Reyes  wins so much because he plays so much but can you see him walking into a room and getting a game not to likely unless somebody just wants their picture made playing him

But to answer you no it aint worth it

  3. wow what a sport i would say not

  4. can't make beans at pro tournaments more money in endorsements and appearance money.

Still comes down to 1 on 1 play for the bucks in some poolroom

    Luck

    K

  5. no money in it at all, because its not working on tv

  6. Danny Basavich said in an interview that he made $250,000 in a year playing money games before he turned 'pro', but he's never made more than $40,000 a year in sanctioned tournaments. Until someone starts paying pool players like golfers, there's no money in it if you don't gamble.
